MY SPECIALTIES

CLINICAL MASSAGE THERAPY SERVICES

I am providing massage therapy services part time as I build my mental health practice

(New clients need to be approved for massage services before booking).

My main focus is creating a safe, affirming space where clients can relax and heal, addressing both physical tension and emotional well-being. With a compassionate and trauma-informed approach, I help individuals dealing with stress, chronic pain, and the effects of past trauma, ensuring each session is personalized to their unique needs.

INDIVIDUAL COUNSELING

Provides a supportive and confidential space for young adults, adults, and older adults to explore their thoughts, emotions, and challenges. Whether navigating life transitions, managing stress, healing from trauma, or addressing mental health concerns, therapy offers personalized guidance tailored to each stage of life. Through a compassionate and collaborative approach, individuals gain coping strategies, self-awareness, and emotional resilience, empowering them to lead more fulfilling and balanced lives.

COUPLES THERAPY

Offers a supportive space for partners to strengthen their relationship, improve communication, and navigate challenges together. Whether addressing conflicts, rebuilding trust, or deepening emotional connection, therapy provides tools to foster understanding and healthy relationship dynamics. Through guided conversations and evidence-based techniques, couples of all backgrounds and stages can work toward greater intimacy, resilience, and a more fulfilling partnership.

MENTAL HEALTH DISORDERS

Are conditions that affect a person’s thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, often impacting daily life, relationships, and overall well-being. They can range from anxiety and depression to more complex conditions like bipolar disorder, OCD, PTSD, and schizophrenia. These disorders are not a sign of weakness but rather medical conditions that can be effectively managed with the right support. Therapy, medication, and lifestyle changes can help individuals navigate their challenges and improve their quality of life. Seeking help is a sign of strength, and with the right care, healing and growth are possible.

VICTIMS OF HUMAN & SEX TRAFFICKING

Often endure profound physical, emotional, and psychological trauma due to prolonged exploitation, coercion, and abuse. The impact can include PTSD, anxiety, depression, difficulty trusting others, and a disrupted sense of safety and self-worth. Healing from trafficking requires a trauma-informed, survivor-centered approach that prioritizes safety, empowerment, and emotional support. Therapy, advocacy, and community resources play a crucial role in helping survivors rebuild their lives, regain autonomy, and find hope for the future. Every survivor’s journey is unique, and with compassionate care, healing is possible.

EMDR
EYE MOVEMENT DESENSITIZATION REPROCESSING

A specialized therapy designed to help people process distressing memories, particularly those related to trauma. It involves guided eye movements or other forms of bilateral stimulation while focusing on specific memories, allowing the brain to reprocess them in a way that reduces their emotional intensity. EMDR is an evidence-based approach that can help individuals feel less overwhelmed by past experiences, promoting healing and emotional well-being.

STRESS & TRAUMA

Stress and trauma can deeply impact a person’s emotional and physical well-being. Stress is the body’s natural response to challenging situations, but when overwhelming or prolonged, it can lead to anxiety, burnout, and other health issues.

Trauma, on the other hand, occurs when an individual experiences an event or series of events that feel deeply distressing or overwhelming, often leaving lasting emotional effects.

A trauma-informed therapist is essential because they understand the complex ways trauma affects the brain and body. They create a safe, supportive space where clients feel heard, validated, and empowered to heal at their own pace without re-traumatization.

TRAUMA TOUCH THERAPY

Is a gentle, body-centered approach designed to help individuals release trauma stored in the body. It focuses on creating a sense of safety and connection through mindful, non-invasive touch, allowing clients to process emotions and physical sensations linked to past experiences. This therapy is especially beneficial for those who have experienced trauma and may struggle with body awareness, tension, or dissociation. By working at a client’s own pace, Trauma Touch Therapy helps restore a sense of calm, empowerment, and well-being.

MEDICAL TRAUMA

Occurs when a person experiences distressing or frightening medical events, procedures, or prolonged health challenges that leave a lasting emotional impact. It can stem from emergency treatments, chronic illness, invasive procedures, or even negative interactions with healthcare providers. Symptoms may include anxiety, hypervigilance, avoidance of medical care, and physical distress when recalling medical experiences. A trauma-informed approach is essential in healing, as it acknowledges the emotional effects of medical experiences and provides compassionate support to help individuals regain a sense of safety, trust, and control over their health journey.
